my theme song is…
“Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys. (Perfect for my post-bari commute: an endorphin-pumping, take-the-world-by-storm kinda jam. Try it out. Thank me later.)
i inspire and challenge my tribers by…
Being REAL! Change is made in the challenge, inside and outside the studio. If my Tribers can stand for themselves in class, they can stand for ANYTHING!
my tribers inspire and challenge me by…
Showing up. And then showing up! They check life’s craziness at the door and come to #werk. But also, to have FUN! They push themselves, and they push each other, which pushes me. It’s just one big push and shove relationship! #barilove

3. I have a debilitating fear of clowns. (Like, I started sweating just typing that.)

A Meteorologist and Hurricane Hunter! Or a professional beach bum and wanna-be surfer :).

my theme song is…
Well, according to my Mom, it would be “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder, but I would say “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney. I mean, who doesn’t?

i inspire and challenge my tribers by…
Being on their side. Everyone needs support and encouragement, and I am always rooting for my tribe. I know it’s not easy. I know it feels uncomfortable. But I also know that it IS achievable. In class, we are working on skills that need to be practiced with patience: the physical skills and the emotional skills, the will. It’s just 8 more, it’s just one more song of cardio. We CAN do this! I remind them that our bodies are stronger than our minds sometimes let us believe. So let’s turn up the music, and have some fun!!!

my tribers inspire and challenge me by…
Simply showing up each day.

this might surprise you, but…
1. I never properly learned how to ride a bike, and therefore I am still unable to do so.
2. I can quote almost every childhood Shirley Temple movie.
3. I was an aunt from birth. That’s right, my nephew is a year older than me.

next place i want to travel…
Paris.

if i weren’t a bari instructor i’d be…
