- Could it be? A new study supports the proposal that four workouts per week may be better than six. While the study isn’t conclusive - and didn’t suggest that four workouts per week yields better weight loss results - we’re open to entertaining the idea that working out in fluctuating frequencies (say four workouts one week and six the next) could promote greater long-term health and fitness benefits than sticking with the same weekly routine.
- It’s easy to reference the red-wine-is-good-for-my-heart ideology when justifying our casual drinking habits, but we’re bummed to report yet another study finding that any alcohol consumption may increase our cancer risk.
- Think that a fitness app is going to overhaul your health habits? Perhaps, but probably not. This Huffington Post piece makes a strong argument for ‘habits over gadgets’ when it comes to seeing results on the fitness and weight loss front. That said, we’re still obsessed with our Up bands.
- ‘Sleeping’ with someone? Fun! Actually trying to sleep with someone? Not so fun. Even if sexual chemistry is great, your sleep positions and needs may not be so harmonious. Women’s Health offers up some tips on how to catch your zzz’s without sleeping solo.
