Giving us our weekly dose of everything Hamptons, top trainer Katia dishes on the good life at our studio out East.
This weekend, the weather gods finally listened to my pleas and brought some much-needed sun to the island. Even though there was still a breeze that felt more April than June, the skies were blue and the sun shone for long enough for me to envision strutting around in the Mara Hoffman swimwear I saw at Everything But Water, and running wild in the Heatwave Maxi Dress from lululemon. Back in the studio, the extreme makeover is working wonders on our space and our badass clients are keeping me on my feet.
I suppose you could say I’m getting used to this whole Hamptons thing.
A few things I can’t stop thinking about:
1. The sight of the lighthouse in Montauk during sunset
2. Meeting the Hamptons Water Company mascot; the company donates five cents of every purchase to fight pediatric cancer. Feels good to hydrate for a cause!
3. Sipping Jack’s coffee in Amagansett for a much-needed caffeine jolt
4. Clients snatching up the Opa! BariPOPs (made of Greek yogurt and berries); they’re a favorite of mine, too!
5. A tipsy afternoon at the beautiful Wolffer Estate Vineyard
6. Our bangin’ 9:30 a.m. BariHYBRID classes; these Hamptons folks are wide-eyed and ready to bounce on weekend mornings. I’m certainly not complaining about packed 9:30 a.m. classes; I just want whatever coffee they’re having.
The island is finally picking up, and I can’t wait to be here when it’s in full summer swing.
Check back next week for more Hamptons happenings!
Peace and love,
Katia
