Egypt: An Inspiration By bari | January 27, 2012, 8:29 am the-mind
I was introduced to a group of Egyptians while I was in college. They quickly became my best friends, and I became so impressed by their way of life that I jumped at the opportunity to spend a month with them learning everything I could about their culture, and loved it. Egyptians have a way of life that is filled with energy and laughter, while remaining devoted to their religion. It’s not very often that you find a group of 20 year olds that throw parties without alcohol until 5am, and step away in the middle of the night to pray. Needless to say, their youthful energy and discipline are equally balanced to create an impressively mature society.
We think we’ve had a big year in Bari… and then we see Egypt! The youth of Egypt succeeded in the unimaginable, and this is only the beginning. There are a lot of changes to come in 2012, and we only hope that the country stays as beautiful and the society stays as kind hearted as we know it to be.
We’re so lucky to be around for such an amazing history event. We can only hope and strive to create a culture at Bari that resembles the grace and discipline that the youth in Egypt portray. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them.
Cheers, 2012. Let’s make big things happen.
